Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday, 6PM either at the Church or the Store.
We are always looking for more volunteers! A successful SVdP volunteer is someone willing to jump right in! We have many different opportunities, not all of them involve home visits.
Our Home Visitor teams average 7 to 8 visits a week. While we prefer that visits actually take place in the home, many visits take place in our Thrift Store in Commerce. An area has been created there for just this purpose.
Other areas we need hep with are data input. Each case is entered into our Georgia database. Someone willing to learn this system and enter caseworker notes and check requests would be a tremendous help to our teams.
Another critical position is Hot Line Screener. This person takes calls off the hotline and then determines whether or not SVdP assistance is needed. This important position helps manage the work flow to the home visitors and all further assistance stems from this screening. We can train you!
